Matthew Nather’s Sacred Arts
Here at MNSA, we stand by two things. First, this is a safe place for all. Everyone is here for different reasons and it is our job to help them grow and reach their potential. We are a family. Each and every one of us is proud of the next and encourages one another to reach their next goal.
The second is a belief instilled in me by my instructor, Grandmaster Louis Marvil, that we are “changing the world, one Black Belt at a time.” These words are what molded me as an instructor. Martial arts is not about punching and kicking, or getting the next colorful belt. It’s about growth, mental and physical. It’s not just having the strength to protect yourself and anyone who needs it, but having the mindset of when to use it.
A Black Belt represents maturity, respect, and honor. But what makes up those things? Integrity, self discipline, focus, perseverance, self confidence, and so much more. If everyone had those qualities, if everyone had the Black Belt mindset, I believe the world would be a better place. That is what we do here. We change the world, one Black Belt at a time.
